Spectacular Beings

June 16 to July 15, 2018 – As the board members of the Inuit Art Foundation were in town, Feheley Fine Arts hosted a private reception of our latest exhibition, Spectacular Beings, on June 14th. The show features enchanting, surreal and somewhat grotesque drawings, spanning over sixty years, from Kenoyuak Ashevak to Tim Pitsiulak. Depictions of whimsical creatures and captivating transformations drawn with a combination of graphite, colored pencil, ink and oil pastel stand out against the white walls of the gallery.

During the evening, after a brief introduction by Patricia Feheley, a moving spoken word performance was given by Taqralik Partridge, a lullaby was beautifully sung by Beatrice Deer and Mathew Nuqingaq performed a powerful drum dance.

It was a truly special evening.
