In collaboration with TrépanierBaer Gallery, we are thrilled to present an exhibition of work by Canadian abstract artist Oscar Cahén. A highlight of the exhibition will be Cahén’s rarely seen masterpiece, The Warrior (1956), completed just before his untimely death that same year. The monumental canvas was first shown in a Painters 11 exhibition at the Park Gallery in 1957 which was owned by Pat’s father, M.F. (Budd) Feheley, who was a champion of Painters Eleven. We are pleased to present a second exhibition of prints made by Ivujivik artists Passa Mangiuk, Qumaq Iyaituk, and Louisa Kanarjuak, alongside Montreal-based printmaker Lyne Bastien. A fantastic selection of new monoprints will be on view, created using the linocut printmaking technique.

The tradition continues! We are pleased to announce the dates of our annual exhibition of small-scale sculptures by Inuit artists from across the Canadian Arctic. This year’s selection will feature works by artists young contemporary carvers hailing from communities like Kinngait (Cape Dorset) and Coral Harbour, in addition to phenomenal older works by notable masters of the art form including Davidialuk Alasua Amittu and John Pangnark.
