On Saturday September 24th, we celebrated the launch of our new website as well as the opening of our Baker Lake Wall-hanging exhibition. Installed in the gallery are over 30 wall-hangings and one very special Amautiq.  To a full gallery, Ragilee and Morris Alorut performed a song and traditional drum dance. The exhibition will run until the 15th of October.

On Friday the 23rd, we received the tragic news that beloved artist Annie Pootoogook had passed. In attendance of Saturday’s reception was award winning throat singer Tanya Tagaq. Tanya generously offered the attendees a moving impromptu throat singing performance in Annie’s honor.

It was truly a special day at Feheley Fine Arts.
