We are pleased to announce the unveiling of our upcoming exhibition, “Sedna the Sea Goddess” opening July 3rd 2025. Sedna, the mythical ‘goddess of the sea’ is frequently depicted in Inuit art across the Arctic. Part human and part fish, the otherwordly sea spirit oversees the sea and all its inhabitants. Much like the ancient tales that transformed over time into a tapestry of rich and imaginative variations, contemporary depictions of her are vibrant, diverse, and deeply creative. Showcasing both works on paper and sculpture, this collection highlights the unique and diverse portrayals of Sedna across Inuit art.
