Silavut in Inuktitut means “our skies, our weather, our outside.” In this new watercolour series, Niap delicately captures the subtle changes of light in the sky of her hometown Kuujjuaq, Nunavik. The artist began the series while visiting home in March 2021. This will be Niap’s much-anticipated second solo-exhibition at the gallery.
