Jessica Winters is a self-taught painter and textile artist from Nunatsiavut (Labrador). Her imagery symbolizes grounding and memory; stills from the land and childhood. Her practice includes painting, drawing, and textiles; the artist works from her studio in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Winters is a 2022 recipient of the Hnatyshyn Foundation Saunderson Prizes for Emerging Artists. Her work can be seen in collections across Canada.
