On Saturday April 5, Feheley Fine Arts hosted an artist talk with Jutai Toonoo to discuss his latest exhibition dedicated to still life images. The intimate conversation included stories about the origins of many drawings, the artist’s experiences, and how the news and social issues within the northern community have served as inspiration for artwork.
Jutai Toonoo is happy to be spending the remainder of this month working out of the artist-in-residency studio at the Art Gallery of Ontario, thanks to the TD Bank Financial Group’s Visiting Artists programme.
Still Life will be at Feheley Fine Arts until April 26, 2014. If you haven’t had a chance to view the show, be sure to check out our exhibition page to see all of the drawings, and our Facebook album below for more photos from the installation and artist talk.
