We were delighted to host a bustling preview on Saturday January 9th of drawings by Nicotye and Padloo Samayualie.  The sisters were present at the gallery during their brief stop over en route to Banff. Nicotye (accompanied by her sister Padloo and 18 month nephew Norman) has been invited to participate in a residency in Banff as part of the TD North South Artist Exchange Program. This program is a residency exchange between southern and northern artists. Previous participants have been Ed Pien,Tim Pitsiulak, Jutai Toonoo and Graham Patterson.

The drawings were well received by curators and collectors who are familiar with Nicotye’s work and were enchanted to see the drawings by Padloo who has only taken up drawing recently.  The exhibition will continue until the 30th of January.
